Every year there is an 8th grade DC trip that takes place during spring break which holds many festivities and events. This year, students are going to Pennsylvania, New York, and DC. The activities will range from pictures in front of the White House to going to a Broadway show.

Students have the opportunity to fundraise selling chocolates to pay for their trip.

They will be able to visit a number of museums including the Holocaust and the  9/11 Memorial. Students will be able to learn about history and have fun with their friends.

Ricky Terrones, a student who went on the DC trip last year says, “My favorite part about the trip was exploring the history that was held in the various monuments and the architecture.”

8th grader David Sweet expressed, “I am excited to go to New York and see the Empire State Building.”

The trip will include a number of museums, a Broadway show, shopping in Times Square, and lunch in Central Park. It will be a 4 day trip and will be packed with a lot of events and fun.

DC, New York, and Pennsylvania will be an experience of a lifetime, and it is completely possible to sell chocolates and pay for the trip, so if you’re a future 8th grader, I recommend trying to go to the trip, and fundraise a lot to make the trip enjoyable for you and your parent’s wallet!
