Ms.Garza, Dana M.S. Drama teacher displayed her school and holiday pride by having a show with fellow students in her drama classes here on the night of October 24th.

Urban Legends, was the name of the show celebrating Halloween and Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead).

For Ms.Garza, it couldn’t have been better! She said “The kids did a fabulous job, we even had a returning Dana alumni come and perform showing off her talents and where she started, here at Dana.”

They practiced for around a month, on Monday-Wednesday, and Friday 3-5 p.m., on Thursdays 1:31-5 p.m., and minimum dismissal 12:17-3:30 p.m., Faith Martinez informed me. 50-60 people performed their hearts out that night.

As the main lead, Casey Molina played the role, as the great wizard. Faith Martinez masked herself as La Catrina, unveiling herself at the end.

This spring there will be another show as a villain interpretations with performers either dancing, singing, costume designs, and more.

Ms. Garza will host open auditions for those who would like to be in it. There might possibly be a winter show it is still unknown.
