LA Kings 50th Year Anniversary

Anthony Ponton, Staff Writer

The LA Kings are a well known team. Here is some info you may now and not know about the LA Kings. At the time of writing they have 12-13 wins so far in this hockey season. Their team has Michael Amadio, Andy Andreoff, Jeff Carter, Nic Dowd, Alex Iafallo, Anze Kopitar, Brooks Laich, Trevor Lewis, Nick Shore, and Tyler Toffoli  playing as centers.

Michael Cammalleri, Kyle Clifford, and Tanner Pearson are play as left wings.

Dustin Brown and Adrian Kempe are right wings.

Drew Doughty, Oscar Fantenberg, Christian Folin, Derek Forbort, Kurtis MacDermid, Alec Martinez, and Jake Muzzin playing defense. Darcy Kuemper and Jonathan Quick are the goalies.

The Kings won 2 Stanley cups, one in 2012 against the New Jersey Devils, and 2014 where they beat the New York Rangers. Some of the best players ever on the Kings are Wayne Gretzky, Luc Robitaille, and Rob Blake.

These players you see running and working so hard to win. Hockey runs for seasons just like other sports. There are many reason why people loved the Kings, one they are our team (Not counting the rival, Anaheim Ducks), second is  because movies have made hockey a sport that is popular. Third, people have grown up with the LA Kings for 50 years now.

Ever since they got a new coach, John Steven, it will be tough for them to become back where they want to be because a new coach could mean good but bad. Some teams tanked when they got a new coach, like if George Lucas got cut from the first Star Wars.

Kings are ranking in the middle of the league this season. They have had a good season so far but are struggling to earn those wins.
