This year, the 31st annual Candy Cane Lane took place at Weymouth Corners on the night of December 2nd from 5 p.m.- 9 p.m. Then, Candy Cane Lane was sprung into action!

For those who went for activities, Polly Ann Bakery had cookie decorating. There were also jumpers, and face painting. They had many activities to keep kids busy while they did that parents could sneak off and get some Christmas shopping done. There was also live entertainment such as djs and firetrucks bringing Santa Claus and his helpers for little children to come visit and tell him what they want.

In a very jolly note a visitor from out of town stated, “It’s always a pleasure to come and see what (new) stuff they have and how it changed from last year.” With that being said Mark Servoss, a local here in Pedro, said “I love coming here, because it’s just so festive and I love coming every year to this event.”

It definitely was a sight to see and hear, as always is such a local pleasure. We can only hope the holiday season comes again soon for all to go to this wonderful event, so we can all go and celebrate the merry season!
