Is Starbucks Over or Underrated?

Eliana Flores, Staff Writer

Starbucks is a great treat for everyone. You can see everyone on every corner holding a Starbucks drink and drinking it. But some people don’t like Starbucks or better yet can’t stand to look at the store.

6th grader Eeva Sogliuzzo says starbucks is her life and “they have amazing drinks that is great after a hot day at school or after sports practice.”

According to there are Starbucks drinks that are overrated. The first drink that they said that was overrated was the Unicorn Frappe. Ok that came out last year and was beautiful. This blue, purple, and pink drink was mango flavored with a sour blue drizzle.

According to “But don’t kid yourself. Starbucks fans didn’t order it because of the taste.” As Food52 reports, the frappuccino “takes on the appearance of a Betty Crocker berry fruit roll-up, its colors cosmically vulgar.” (And it’s perfectly suited for posting on instagram.)

The next drink that is supposedly overrated is the Cherry Blossom Frappuccino. I have never heard of this drink, but it is a strawberry and cream frappuccino, drizzled with white mocha sauce, and matcha powder and sauce. According to it is overrated. Some customers came to their senses and called Starbucks’ bluff when it introduced this distinctly not-cherry-flavored beverage. According to Time, “There’s no actual cherry — not even cherry flavoring — in the drink.” That got plenty of fans upset about the drink’s deceptive name.

Ok let’s talk about the good things or the underrated part about Starbucks. Upon the fact that Starbucks has bad things about it let’s talk about the great things or drinks about Starbucks. The Cinnamon Dolce Latte is supposed to be another fall drink that is for people who don’t like the Pumpkin Spice Latte. According to “Not a fan of Pumpkin Spice? Try this sweet seasonal alternative instead.” Another Underrated Drink that Starbucks has on their secret menu is the Butterbeer Frappe. Any Harry Potter fan should love butterbeer but this is coming from another world. How you can order this drink is, order a vanilla bean frappe, three pumps of caramel syrup, three pumps of toffee nut syrup, one pump of cinnamon dolce syrup, and a sprinkle of cinnamon. According to “Calling all “Harry Potter” fans! You needn’t travel to Hogsmeade to feel like you’re part of HP’s crew. This secret item menu is a hit (and totally fit for your Instagram feed), so try ordering it soon.

Starbucks is over and underrated in different people’s opinion, but Starbucks will always be one of the most #1 money-making coffee chains in the world. So let me know what you think in the comment section down below. What do you think is it over or underrated?
