On August 3rd, 2018, Disney released the movie “Christopher Robin” where Christopher Robin has grown up and had been out of The Hundred Acre Wood for years. Then his friends come at a time he needs them most.

As you know, Disney created “Christopher Robin” as an continuation of Christopher Robin’s story. They did this to catch up with him in the time he left The Hundred Acre Wood to when he has grown up and started a family. While this is happening trouble stirs up in The Hundred Acre Wood.

The basic plot of the movie is, without spoilers, is that Christopher Robin has grown up and facing his own problem with his family. That’s when Winnie the Pooh shows up in London trying to find his friend. They get up to some shenanigans and they live on with their lives happily.

The main cast of “Christopher Robin” was very small, the major players are listed. Ewan McGregor as Christopher Robin, Jim Cumming as Pooh and Tigger, Brad Garrett as Eeyore, Nick Mohammed as Piglet, and Bronte Carmichael as Madeline Robin (Christopher Robin’s Daughter).  There is also Hayley Atwell as Evelyn Robin (Christopher Robin’s wife), Peter Capaldi as Rabbit, and Toby Jones as Owl. As well as, Sophie Okonedo as Kanga and Sarah Sheen as Roo.

Some fun facts about the movie are that Jim Cummings, the voice of Tigger and Pooh, was the original voice actor for Pooh in the original Disney cartoons. This movie was set in 1949, post WWII, and in the movie the stuffed animals are called stuffies.

The ratings of movies are one of the main reasons that we go, since we can see if the movie is actually good without watching it. Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 70% fresh rating, which means in school standards it is an C-. Others have different reviews on it such as, Bella Zapata, 8th Grader, who says, “I think that the movie is really good and emotional. I highly recommend it for people to see.”

Overall, “Christopher Robin” is a good movie with emotion and adventure, so you should go see it.
