Every October, we all think… “What am I going to be for Halloween?” Whether you’re going for scary or cute, matching with a friend, whatever you do, should be creative.

Creativity is something everyone should have, no matter if you’re an adult or on the verge of becoming a zombie. Imagination is one of the many things we can’t live without. Creativity has been used in a lot of original scary stories and we use creativity now, when we construct our costumes. As we all know, clowns and ghosts, even Harley Quinn, have been used almost every Halloween, and it’s gotten old. Your costume is up to you, but why be something popular, when you can be something new and creative. Here are 5 creative costume ideas you have to try this Halloween.

The first costume is a glow in the dark sugar skull. A sugar skull is a creative and cultural Halloween costume. You’ll need some colorful, glow in the dark paint to go over your face. You don’t really need a costume to be a sugar skull. So you can go out trick or treating in your everyday clothes and you would look great. For those who don’t know what a sugar skull is, it is a cultural representation of Dia De Los Muertos. Dia De Los Muertos is a Mexican gathering where you celebrate the people you lost long ago.

The second costume is Clementine from a Telltale video game called, The Walking Dead. The Walking Dead is an Role Playing Game(RPG), that leaves you torn between various choices, and has you crying in every chapter. One of the main characters in this game is Clementine. Clementine is a fictional character that is growing up during the zombie apocalypse and is taught to only fight for herself. The game will surely have you gripping the edge of your seat. Enough about the game, the costume will be a bit tricky to pull off, but the result will surely be great, if you play your cards right.

The third costume is Dustin Henderson from Stranger Things. Stranger Things is one of the most popular shows on Netflix, that everyone is now rewatching. We are getting super hyped about the upcoming season 3. Stranger Things is a show about four middle schoolers, that have known each other since they can remember. But when a chain of mysterious events lead to the disappearance of a child, everyone starts to investigate, leading to more than they all imagined.

Another easy costume to do with your friend is Mario and Luigi. Mario and Luigi are characters from Super Mario Brothers that have to save princesses, traveling through the sewers or jump all over the land. These two brothers were both introduced by Nintendo in 1983, amazing everyone who played the game. Mario and Luigi are actually a very easy costume. All you would need is a pair of overalls, you can either make both hats yourself or you can buy it from a store, and you need a green t-shirt.

The last costume is Velma and Daphne from Scooby Doo. Scooby Doo was the most  popular kids tv show during the 1960’s and people still watch the show now. Velma, the analytical friend and Daphne, the optimist are both mystery solving teens who are besties and the only girls in the Scooby Gang. Velma and Daphne are both smart and strong teens who stopped ghosts no matter what. This costume is always a good one to do with a friend and is a super easy one. All you would need for Velma is a classic orange turtle neck with a red skater skirt, some black shoes, black glasses, and orange socks. All you need for Daphne is a long sleeve dark purple dress, light pink leggings, a purple headband, a green scarf and a pair of boots.

These Halloween costumes are easy and fun especially with friends or family. Instead of overthinking your Halloween costume just try one of these. They will look great no matter what, and if you mess up, just be a zombie!
