On November 9, in all theaters everywhere, The Grinch (Benedict Cumberbatch) had an idea to mess up Christmas and made many gadgets to take everything related to Christmas in Whoville, when a little girl Cindy Lou Who changes him and his mood about Christmas.

This movie starts off in a scene where the Grinch is waking up to the song called “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town” sung by The Jackson 5. Of course, since the Grinch is grumpy and hated Christmas he immediately tried to turn it off. This certainly took a little bit because he decided not to get out of his bed and ended up throwing many things at it till it went over the edge in his cave. Then it started to play again. This is the part where the next main character was introduced, Max, the Grinch’s dog. His dog helped him through his morning routine and throughout the whole movie.

The Grinch had run out of food and had to go to Whoville to get more. It was Christmas time in whoville where of course all who’s loved Christmas. Since the Grinch desipted Christmas he hated going into town.

During him going through and back home he is hit with all of cheerful charm. He hated it with a of his 2x sized to small heart. Throughout the whole movie he is gloomy and angry. Then one night he attempted to take Christmas and he met a little girl Cindy Lou Who. This little girl was so nice to him and gave him good advice that he was happy. He was welcomed in to The Cindy Lou’s house for Christmas dinner. He was finally truthfully happy.

This movie was a hit off of the 2000 movie “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” where Jim Carrey was the main character. This movie was different because it wasn’t animated as the 2018 version. The people who watched “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” gave it a 52% but however “The Grinch” got a 57% which are very close to each other.

Thought the people at our school likes it, for example, a 7th grader named, Tiger Lilly Estrada said, “I loved the movie and to be honest I liked it more than the one in 2000.”

In the end, I think that this movie is worth the watch. It can also help you get into the Christmas spirit.
