The movie Bumblebee came out on December 21, 2018. It’s rated PG-13, with the genre science fiction, action, or adventure. The runtime is an hour and fifty-four minutes (114 minutes). The budget for the movie was $100-137 million. Bumblebee comes from the planet Cybertron, for the autobot resistance, which is led by Optimus Prime.

The movie takes place in the year 1987, and the autobot (Bumblebee) hides in a junkyard at a small California beach town. A girl named Charlie is trying to find a car and her place in the world, and is soon to discover the broken, battle scarred Bumblebee (B-127). Charlie first thought he was an ordinary yellow volkswagen but quickly learns differently.

Dana middle school’s STEAM 8th grade student, Juliana Terzoli, says: “It was good, I would recommend it to other people. I felt the plot was good, and my favorite part was when she discovered what[Bumblebee] was and who he is.”   

Some of the cast includes: Hailee Steinfeld as Charlie Watson, John Cena as Jack Burns, Jorge Lendeborg Jr. as Memo, Dylan O’Brien as the voice of Bumblebee, Peter Cullen as the voice of Optimus Prime, Angela Bassett as the voice of Shatter, Justin Theroux as the voice of Dropkick, and many more.

It was directed by Travis Knight and written by Christina Hodson. It is a new Transformers movie starring Bumblebee that has lots of action and science fiction in the year of 1987.
