Spider Man Into the Spider Verse

Anthony Ponton, Staff Writer

Marvel Entertainment, with help of Columbia Pictures and Sony Pictures Animation, has created an amazing movie about Miles Morales with Spiderman and the newer characters such as Spider-Ham, Spiderman Noir, Peni Parker, and Spider Gwen.

The movie is about our main character Miles Morales, voiced by Shameik Moore, who is a normal kid until one day where he got bit by a radioactive spider. He goes back to the place where he got a bit to investigate the next day, but he finds himself in the middle of a fight between his universes Spiderman and other villains such as King Pin and Green Goblin. After the fight, Spiderman gets really weak and gets defeated by King Pin. Making Miles Morales the only Spiderman left against the other villains.

The movie provides amazing animation quality which is meant to look like it was straight out of a comic book. This Marvel movie is unique to the other Marvel movies, The Marvel Cinematic Universe, with it being animated and the unique plot, the amazing characters it brought, and the battles fought.

SpiderMan Into the Spider-Verse was released on December 14th, 2018, with a watch time of 1 hour and 56 minutes it is a little bit under 2 hours.

Every Marvel movie has an end credit scene, and this movie is no exception. The first end credit scene is a tribute to the creator of Spiderman and many other iconic superheroes, Stan Lee. The end credit scene says “That person who helps others simply because it should or must be done, and because it is the right thing to do, is indeed, without a doubt, a real superhero,”. The other end credit scene shows us another Spiderman, Spiderman 2099. In this scene, he tries to travel the multiverse without a huge machine. He travels successfully to the universe 1967, which is just the original animated series of spider man’s Spider-Man which just has a pointing battle.

This movie is really worth watching before it leaves theaters. With its uniqueness and the amazing story, it would be worth the time to watch it!
