Bird box was a quickly viewed movie that many discovered through memes that quickly spread over the internet. The Netflix movie starting Sandra Bullock was rated a 6.7 out of 10 rating on IMDB and got a %62 percent on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite the negative feedback on Rotten Tomatoes, if you are the kinda person who loves a good suspenseful movie, than this one is may be for you.

The beginning of the movie starts off with intensity. It begins with chaos and people freaking out about strange occurrences in the city. The movie goes into detail discussing main character, Malorie, who is pregnant and is trying to get through mass depression. She’s trying to find out what’s going on and save herself at the same time. The film takes you through the movie by speeding into the future at certain parts. It also takes you to the past to explain how the story is going to go. Malorie is running through the streets and finds a woman trying to help her. Stumbling and getting trampled, Malorie gets through the stampeding people and makes it to a house.

We later discover that, due to some unknown force, the characters can’t go outside without a blindfold and, if they do, something will make them kill themselves. This creates pandemonium and chaos. They aren’t sure what it is, but no one does.  The rest of the movie puts the viewer through twists and turns and it is interesting watching the characters as they face their greatest fears.

The movie is definitely for people who love scary and suspenseful movies. People who do not like blood or violence, and fighting or shooting, anything that involves death should not watch this. Overall, the movie is pretty entertaining and can definitely give you a few chills while watching. Even if it’s not an Oscar winning film, it could be a fun watch with friends.
