Odell Beckham Jr. was traded to the Cleveland Browns on March 12, 2019. The General Manager of the New York Giants said he traded OBJ because it was an offer he couldn’t resist, but is that the real reason?

Odell Beckham Jr. is a 26-year-old wide receiver that formerly played for the New York Giants, but got traded to the Cleveland Browns on March 12, 2019. The trade involved Cleveland getting OBJ and New York receiving defensive back Jabrill Peppers and the Browns’ first-round pick (No. 17 overall) and second third-round pick (95th overall) in next month’s draft. Which raises the question, how good will the Browns be this upcoming season?

The Cleveland Brown revolution has been crazy over the past 3 years. 3 years ago, they were 1-16, which means they only won 1 game in the whole season. The next year they didn’t even win a game as they went 0-16. Which means they’re combined record for those two years are 1-31. That is one of the worst NFL records in history. But then last year, they shot up and won 8 games, that means their record last year was 8-8. But now they got Odell Beckham Jr., so how good will they be this year?

Other offseason moves that the Browns made was investing in the Kansas City Chiefs ex-running back Kareem Hunt. Kareem Hunt got released from the Kansas City Chiefs after hitting and kicking this girl in a hotel. Recently, Kareem Hunt just got suspended again for the same reason from last year. The NFL commissioner decided to carry his suspension over from last year to this year. The Browns also signed DL Sheldon Richardson from the Minnesota Vikings. Sheldon Richardson formerly played for the New York Jets and Seattle Seahawks.

The OBJ and the Jarvis Landry relationship is one of the strongest wide receiver (WR), connections in history. They played together in college at LSU, (Louisiana State University).  What is crazy is that when OBJ and Jarvis Landry, also known as Juice, were playing at LSU, the WR coach back then, is the WR coach for the Browns right now. When The Juice and OBJ were in college, they were famous for creating the one-handed catch, which OBJ made famous in the play against the Cowboys.

Not only the have the Browns made effective offseason moves. Other teams such as the Raiders made some big changes as well. The Oakland Raiders acquired ex- Pittsburgh Steeler star wide receiver Antonio Brown from the Steelers and offensive tackle Trent Brown. The Raiders made Trent Brown the most paid offensive tackle in NFL history. Speaking of Pittsburgh Steelers, ex-running back Le’veon Bell signed a 4-year deal with a New York Jets. Former Ravens safety Eric Weddle signed with the Los Angeles Rams. Former Ravens linebacker Terrell Suggs signed with the Arizona Cardinals. And then NFL teams still have to include the draft that includes quarterback Kyler Murray and Dwayne Haskins. So don’t forget to keep checking on the latest NFL news to keep up with everything else that may happen.
