Five Summer Food And Drink Recipes

Summertime is the time to relax and chill out not having to worry about homework or teachers. But now that you are home you can make some cool summer food.


One food that you can make is a Watermelon Mint Lime Smoothie.

What you will need for this recipe is…

  • 2 cups of watermelon
  • 3.5 cups of ice
  • 5 mint leaves
  • 3 tablespoons of lime juice
  • 3-4 teaspoons of honey

The first step is to put all of the ingredients in a blender and then blend it up.

The next step is to add more ice if the mixture is not slushie like.

Then serve and enjoy.

The next recipe is a chocolate banana pop.

What you will need for this recipe is…

  • Frozen 1-inch banana pieces
  • Melted chocolate
  • Toppings of your choice (Ex: Sprinkles, coconut shavings, chocolate chips…)

First, you need to freeze banana pieces.

Then you need to dip them in the melted chocolate and place them on a cookie tray lined with parchment paper.

Put the tray in the freezer to harden the chocolate.


The third recipe I will show you how to make a snow cone

What you will need is:

  • A jar of cherries
  • Mint leaves
  • Ice

First, you need to open the jar of cherries and put the mint leaves in there, shake it up and leave it for 1 day.

The next day put ice in the blender and make it into a snow-like powder.

Pour the juice from the cherry jar into a squirt bottle.

Pour that over the ice, then enjoy.

The fourth recipe is a BBQ bacon cheeseburger.

What you need for the burger is…

  • 1.5 lbs Ground beef
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • o1 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon of salt and pepper
  • 3 strips of Bacon

What you need for the sauce:

  • 1 cup of ketchup
  • ¼ cup of brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons mustard
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 garlic clove minced
  • ½ cup of water
  • 2 teaspoons Worcester sauce.

To make the patty you first need to mix the ground beef and seasonings in a bowl and shape them into a patty shape about a ½ inch thick. Grill them with the bacon until they are cooked how you want it.

After that, you can start making the sauce. To make the sauce you just combine all of the ingredients into a medium saucepan and bring to a boil. Remember to keep stirring it or it will burn.

When the sauce and patties are done cooking assemble your burger however you want and then enjoy.

And the fifth and final recipe is a lemon slushie.

What you will need is

  • Ice
  • Lemon or lime
  • Sugar

What you will need to do is put all of the ingredients into a blender until it is the texture you desire.
