Donald Trump asked Swedish government officials to free famous MC, A$AP Rocky, after an alleged physical harassment against 19-year-old. On June 30th in Stockholm Sweden at around 3 PM the rapper was found in a relatively serious pummel with 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari. Upon being taken into custody, the MC was soon found guilty. This occurred not without the uproar of millions from the U.S, 100 or so thousand from Canada, and a few thousand from the UK.
In the midst of all of this, our current U.S President, Donald Trump also decided to take a stand on the situation telling the Swedish government, “Very disappointed in Prime Minister Lofven for being unable to act. Sweden has let our African American Community down in the United States. I watched the tapes of A$AP Rocky, and he was being followed and harassed by troublemakers. Treat Americans fairly!”
Within a few weeks of the Swedish government taking custody of Rocky and more public Twitter disapprovals of an estimated 40 million people worldwide, the Swedish Government finally let A$ap Rocky exit the detention facility upon an agreement that he would hold trial.
At 3 PM on June 30th, Rocky got into a conflict with 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari as stated in court. According to Rocky, Mustafa following him and some of his friends for around 4 blocks and sexually harassing women along the way was the cause of the fight in the first place.
After the fight was over A$AP walked voluntarily to the police station to speak about the incident, and upon arrival was immediately detained and held in court. There has also been no information on why the police decided to take him into custody.
After a couple of weeks, Kanye West expressed his concerns to Donald trump leading to a popular tweet. After multiple trials and multiple judges assessing the situation, A$ap was eventually released, but was to leave for America as soon as possible. As of late, he is safely residing in The United States Of America as he awaits trial.
Many on Twitter and other social media sites have spoken out about their view on the situation and what they think should have happened. But the situation remains the same: Donald Trump’s tweets ultimately succeded and A$AP Rocky is free for now.
