Rest In Peace Lil Bub

Lil Bub, a popular meme on the internet and a cat that helps start meme culture today has passed away at the age of 8 on December 1st, 2019.

Lil Bub was born on June 21st, 2011, in Bloomington, Indiana, and was the smallest of her litter. She had suffered from an extreme form of feline dwarfism, same as Grumpy Cat, and was also born with many genetic malfunctions. Her owner, Mike Bridavsky, adopted her after his friends wanted to give her a home. Lil Bub had become famous through her appearance and was first noticed on Tumblr in November 2011, which she soon became popular on other social media sites from the time.

Throughout her life, she has multiple media appearances like how in 2012 she was on Good Morning America. This cat has been prominent on social media and a huge part in creating meme culture and memes today, but all great things come to an end, and Lil Bub’s book had turned to her last page. On December 1st, 2019, she died peacefully in her sleep. Lil Bub had passed away from an aggressive bone infection.

Many people recognize Lil Bub through her small like appearance and her tongue that always seems to stick out. This has made it fun to make memes about her, which the 2011 internet did. The memes seem to consist of things that either are about her happiness or how she looks no the smartest.

Lil Bub was not the first to go after she lost her friends like Grumpy Cat, Boo, Keyboard Cat, Bork, and many more. More of these deaths are inevitable, so let’s enjoy these cute animals while we can.
