Megan Watson
Megan Watson is a 12 year old 7th grader at Dana Middle school.  Last year her elective was tech, but this year she decided to join journalism.  Megan previously attended Taper elementary and is spending her second year at Dana.

She is not sure what she wants to be when she grows up yet, she knows that she wants to help kids.  She says, “I haven’t really thought about it, I mean I’ve thought about it, but I haven’t really come up with an answer.  But I think I want to be like a like veterinarian or I like wanna help like kids when I grow up like, when I’m older I wanna help like kids like… like… I “don't know what it’s called, but um.. Help kids when I’m older.”  Her mom is her hero because her mom raises her and that makes Megan really look up to her and respect her. The way that she put it is, “My mom is my hero, or like one of my heros… I like look up to her and… she’s like… just my mom.  And she like raises me and it’s not really that easy to do.”

In her free time, Megan likes to read and play volleyball.  She also likes to write, that is the reason that she wanted journalism as her elective.  Megan would like to someday go to Hawaii and really explore the islands. She has gone before with her family, but since it was a family trip, she really only got to go to the beach.  “I’ve been there before… But I never really got to like… go around the the whole place, like I just stayed on the beach.”

Some of Megan’s personal accomplishments are, making a volleyball team and winning a drawing contest and getting her art displayed.  “Something that I have accomplished is in my old school, I won a drawing contest and my art got displayed on sixth street so people could see it.”  Some of her favorite parts of school is Journalism and seeing all of her friends.
